PROFILE
Following law school, where he served on the law review and was elected a member of the Order of the Coif, Professor Mogk practiced with Shearman & Sterling in New York. He joined the Wayne State faculty in 1968 and since then has been active in public service, including the Michigan Superconducting Super Collider Commission, the Detroit Board of Education, the governor's and mayor's task forces and the Michigan Energy and Resource Research Association, a nonprofit state and university scientific and educational partnership. He has received special commendations from the Michigan Legislature and Detroit Common Council and was selected Outstanding Professor by the law school student body in 1979, 1983 and 1994, and by the alumni in 1993. He teaches courses in Property, Energy, Land Use, and Urban Development. Professor Mogk was a visiting fellow at the University of Warwick in England during 1985-86, and is a member of the Land Title Standards Committee of the State Bar of Michigan and the editor of the Michigan International Lawyer, a semiannual publication of the International Law Section.
