Shanta S. Anderson-Williams, ’07, has joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP’s Detroit office as an attorney in the Labor and Employment Department. During law school, Anderson-Williams served as a law clerk at the National Football League in New York, N.Y. and at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. At Honigman, Anderson-Williams will be a part of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department.

Allen, ’88, a principal in the Troy office of Miller Canfield, recently authored "Michigan Foreclosure Practice," a chapter of The Law of Distressed Real Estate, published by Thompson West, December 2007. Allen practices in Capital Markets Lending, a part of the firm’s Real Estate Group. He concentrates his practice in representing lenders in all phases of commercial real estate workouts and foreclosures, primarily in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

Maureen Murray Aughton, ’78, a principal in the Aughton Law Firm, P. A., recently moved her office to Naples, FL. Aughton, formerly a partner with Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, estate planning and administration, guardianship and corporate matters. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Naples-Marco Real Estate Attorney's Council, Inc. and is on the Board of the American Cancer Society and the Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida. She is also a member of the Legal Resources Committee of the Naples Area Board of Realtors.

Janet Anderson-Davis, ’83, recently released a book titled “Dance of The Warriors.” The book includes a compilation of poems, each dedicated to a player involved in the Detroit Recount of 2005. The book will be available on Nov. 28.
