Corbett Edge O'Meara, '95, has begun campaigning to be elected a Wayne County Circuit Court Judge. O'Meara has been a lawyer in private practice in Detroit since graduating. Emphasizing criminal defense, O'Meara has practiced all over the state and in state and federal courts across the country.

Stephen J. Ott, ’79, was elected by Miller Canfield to serve a two-year term as managing director, effective Jan. 1, 2008. He is part of a five-person management administration that works with the CEO to oversee the firm’s offices in the United States, Canada and Poland. Stephen J. Ott has been with the firm for 27 years. He is a principal in the Troy office, practicing in the areas of product safety regulation, product liability and personal injury litigation defense. Also a member of the Automotive Group, he currently heads a national legal project for a major automotive manufacturer.
