202 People Receive Wayne Law Degrees at 2009 Wayne Law Commencement Ceremony
Wayne Law held its 2009 Commencement Ceremony on May 18, 2009, at the Detroit Opera House. A total of 202 degrees - 185 J.D. degrees, 16 LL.M. degrees and one honorary LL.D. degree - were conferred. The Honorable Marilyn Kelly (pictured far left), Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and a 1971 Wayne Law alumna, served as Commencement Speaker. She also received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Wayne Law alumna Patricia Nemeth (pictured left), ’84, LL.M. ’90, received the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award.
