PROFILE:
Amy Neville has been an instructor of Legal Writing at Wayne State University Law School since 1999.  She currently serves as the primary author of the Defender Trial Book and co-author (with Professor David Moran) of the Defender Habeas Book.  Prior to joining Wayne’s faculty, Ms. Neville worked for six years as an assistant defender at the State Appellate Defender Office handling appeals on behalf of indigents convicted of felony offenses in Michigan.  She also previously worked at the Michigan Court of Appeals as a pre-hearing attorney and as a judicial law clerk to Judge John H. Shepherd.  Ms. Neville graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 1987, where she served as a member of Wayne State’s 1986-1987 National Moot Court Team.
