Wayne Law, APALSA, BLSA to Host Jazz Night, Jan. 24

DETROIT (Jan. 3, 2008) – Wayne State University Law School, the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), and the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) are proud to host their annual Jazz Night at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Wayne State University Law School’s Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium.

Attendees at this event will enjoy an evening of live music, food, and conversation with Wayne Law faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends.

APALSA serves as an academic, social and political resource for students in the Law School. In recent years, APALSA has made itself increasingly visible to the administration and has strengthened its voice in efforts to redefine the role of Asian Americans both in the Law School and in the law.

BLSA is a national organization that offers a network of educational support and career guidance for minority law students throughout their law school career. BLSA's mission at Wayne State University is to encourage black academic excellence, promote professional development, and sponsor community outreach.
